Lifedance
by Charles Bukowski
the area dividing the brain and the soul
is affected in many ways by
experience—
some lose all mind and become soul:
insane.
some lose all soul and become mind:
intellectual.
some lose both and become:
accepted.
Each interprets poems in their own way,
I like this person's take on the poem

Wooh! I read it for the first time and it’s just amazing. If you read the poem as individual phrases, you’ll understand the meaning.
You can have a glimpse of today’s society in this verse. It says, if somebody listens to their heart, people call them crazy. If someone listens to their brains and is logical is called brainy. And people who push away their ambitions, beliefs, standpoints, and opinions are called ‘Normal’ and accepted by the society.
I believe, we all need to celebrate our outlook and originality. Never fall prey to society's desire to turn you into a “Normal” human.
Hope this helped you!
